New working hours for Lacey

My life looks very different these days. They say 1 is 1, and 2 is 20, and they weren’t kidding. I’m realizing all too quickly that I will not be able to “go back to normal” in terms of my freedom of working any and all hours. The reality is, I have two small children now and I need to be home before 7pm while they are this young. My husband works a typical Monday through Friday job that finishes at 5pm and is home on Saturdays and Sundays. Whereas salon hours keep me until 8pm, even on Saturdays. I love working. I genuinely do. It’s always been the biggest part of my identity and focus. But I’ve decided I need to make sure I’m making time for my family. With that in mind, I will be working new hours at the salon (at least until my children get somewhat older). My new schedule will be Monday through Friday 9:30am-5:30pm and one (sometimes two) Saturdays a month. I realize this puts new constraints on my clients that prefer evening or weekend appointments, and it’s given me massive anxiety making this decision to change my hours, but I know it’s the work/life balance I need at this season in my little family’s life. As my children grow over the years these hours will likely adjust again as needed. I appreciate all the support I’ve received from the clients and staff of the salon. Thank you for being flexible, and for being open to try other Stylists at the salon while I was out on maternity leave.
