Tallahassee Magazine’s Top Salon competition 2016
We were so happy to be nominated for the third year in a row as a competing salon in Tallahassee Magazine’s Top Salon competition! This year, 12 Tallahassee salons were nominated to compete for a local charity of their choice. Tryst chose to represent Lee’s Place. Lee’s Place is a nonprofit grief, loss, and trauma therapy center providing professional mental health counseling and training services for all ages over 4, for all grief, loss, and trauma issues; serving the Tallahassee area, including Leon, Gadsden, Wakulla, Jefferson and Franklin Counties. We chose Alicia Ouellette as our model to receive a makeover. Alicia had medium/short sandy colored hair. We colored her hair to a bright, creamy blonde and gave her a modified pixie, making it longer in the front and short and sassy in the back. This cut added a lot of texture and body to her soft, straight hair. After rinsing out the color, we shampoo’d and conditioned with Living Proof Restore (which makes hair stronger after ONE use!). We then prepped her style with Living Proof Prime Style Extender, added Full Volumizing Mousse and finished on dry hair with Amp texturizing cream. Alicia loved her new look and we were so happy to share this experience with her!
